Since 2010, Shipit operates a multimodal platform of 8ha in the Waasland harbor at the Northern insteekdok. Within a stone’s throw of the Deurganckdock Shipits terminal can be considered as the entrance of the big container terminals at the left bank.
Because of the barge quay, the railway- and road connection, Shipits terminal can be considered as a trimodal terminal. Equipped with a 60 tonnes crane at the barge quay empty and full containers , as well as stukgoed can be loaded and unloaded into barge ships or small coasters.
Even trains to a length of 475m can be handled partially covered.
Shipit has built in two phases 3 warehouses with a complete surface of 28.500m². So this terminal is uppermost suitable for storage- and container freight station activities, stuffing and stripping of containers.
By use of solar panels (0.5MW) Shipit tries to operate as Co2-neutrally as possible.
The terminal has the following characteristics :

- 3 warehouses : 2 warehouses of 7.500m² each (2010) and 1 warehouse of 13.500m² (2013)
- 13 docking stations
- 200m quay for barge handling with a draught of 6m
- 475m railway, of which 180m under shed
- Reachstacker until 45 tonnes and forklifts until 34 tonnes
